MoneyTime is available in te reo Māori

MoneyTime is available in te reo Māori, enabling Māori immersion students to receive the benefits of MoneyTime's comprehensive self-taught program whilst absorbing the knowledge in te reo Māori. This means money management becomes an integral part of their te reo Māori vocabulary.

The MoneyTime program used in Māori immersion schools is the same one used by over 700 schools and 60,000 students nationwide but has been translated by Ian Calder, a highly respected translator of educational resources in New Zealand.

What's it all about?

More comprehensive than any other program, MoneyTime covers the basics of personal finance using te reo Māori in 30 fun, interactive modules. From earning, banking and budgeting through to property, investing and business, MoneyTime teaches tamariki what they can do with their money so they will be confident in making good choices as they get older.

Additionally, each module has a multi choice quiz where the students earn money for correct answers. They then get to spend the money on avatars and investments, simulating real life decision making in a fun but educational way.

There are also 13 modules tamariki get to do with their parents - ideal for generating discussion and ensuring they are learning about money management within their whānau's context. Many parents report they learn things as well, so it’s a beneficial experience for the whole whānau.
